Recognizing that the great voyage of discovery that led to the formation of the United States must eventually culminate in the outward movement of humanity away from earth and beyond the limits of our solar system it is imperative for the United States to continue to lead the way for all of mankind. Therefore NASA should set a timeline for a permanent base on Mars.
