A majority of people in Puerto Rico are unaware of the devasting consequences on families, retirees, and others living in the Island regarding its debt crisis decision-making being held by the Government of Puerto Rico, Congress of the United States, and bondholders. Citizens of Puerto Rico should not be be held accountable for a debt crisis caused by government officials improper handling and depletion of federal government funds. Citizens of Puerto Rico demand economic justice and direct participation for a transparent decision-making process not compromising our right to a morally correct standard of living favoring affordable costs of homes, utilities, food, gas, education, and medical expenses, limiting the power of others not citizens of the Island to overrule.
