End the patenting of life and life processes. Large companies have applied for and received patents on things such as the non-gmo cucumber plant, and many other living organisms. Thereby permitting them to prosecute people that infringe on their copyrights by planting said plant or growing their patented organism, many of them are not genetically modified. This gives big companies the ability to limit access to these organisms; corn, wheat, tomatoes, chicken, and many others.
These organisms and their DNA do not belong to just one company or person but to the entire human race. It is a basic human right to save seed, grow and develop that seed without having to pay anyone. It is a basic human right to be able to grow your own food without restrictions.
