The American community have divorced themselves from the realities of the wars that America is involved in. With soldiers returning home to nonchalant "Patriots", it is a definite understanding that it is an under appreciated service and regardless of the liberties gained by wars, many don't acknowledge the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan because they are not on American soil. Soldiers receive way less than adeqaute treatment when returning home when trying to enter the civilian community. It is defintely discouraging to see so many homeless and hungry Veterans walking the streets of D.C. in front of the White House on a daily basis. This treatment is no better than how soldiers were treated returning home from Vietnam. Someone has to take care of those who fight for freedoms we hold dear.
