Direct the postal service to change residential delivery from daily to every other day.Volume & cost validate a change.

Created by R.J. on July 24, 2013

Fully understanding that Congress dictates the US Postal System, shouldn't there be a need to evaluate that all residential areas continue to have full time mail service 6 days per week? Many institutions (banking, credit cards) have made the necessary changes to enhance their business model and to become more profitable. With every other day delivery, each residence will have ample time to make necessary payments when their bills become due.
In the present day of electronic communications and payment systems, all residential households would be able to meet all of commerce needs and pay their debit without getting mail daily. We should evaluate the cost saving by cutting home delivery by 1/2 and still meet the need of all Americans and providing a cost benefit to the US Postal Service.
