I believe we must insist on more transparency from our elected officials in both their personal and public lives. Government officials are servants of the people, and government agencies are the tools our elected officials use to serve the interests of the country. Lack of openness and transparency allows corruption, breeds distrust, and promotes fear of the people towards their elected representatives.
