It has become clear over the last several decades that career politicians have become an obstacle to the conduct of the business of the country. I propose a term limit for all senators and congress-persons of no more than (insert number here) terms or 12 years, whichever is less.
The point of this petition is to prevent lawmakers from becoming careerist and thereby limit their potential of favoring special interests, their party or themselves instead of the good of our country.
