Direct TSA Administrator Peter Neffenger that detention of foreign diplomats will be a firing offense for TSA personnel.

Created by D.R. on January 15, 2016

Foreign diplomats and dignitaries entering the United States of America are protected by treaty from interference by law enforcement, and yet in several recent notable incidents, diplomats and dignitaries from India, Australia and other friendly nations have been detained by TSA officers, straining the goodwill of allies and trading partners. Please order the TSA Administrator that unless specifically directed to by the State Department, his officers are to be barred from detaining diplomats or members of foreign government, with a penalty of immediate termination with no possibility of future hire by any portion of the federal government or any law enforcement agency if violated. Our nation's foreign policy is not within the purview of TSA officers.
