Direct the US Mint to remove the name, face or likeness of any person that was a slave owner from our currency.

Created by M.A. on July 17, 2013

The United States of America is a great country. We need to move on from our most shameful period which is slavery. To do so we must stop celebrating former slave owners just because they were our Founding Fathers.

To this end every African-American should be free from having to see these vicious slave owners on the currency they use to buy goods for themselves, their children and their family.

We should stop honoring people like Thomas Jefferson who raped and impregnated a 15 year old girl but never took her as his wife or treated her as an equal. We should no longer be forced to see Slave Owners as people that are revered, treasured and honored. The US Government should move immediately to remove these men from our currency so we can move forward.

God Bless the United States
