By allowing prescriptions written by private doctors to be filled by Veterans Administration, wait times to see doctors would be reduced. Senior and retired veterans have Medicare and Tricare for doctor visits, but utilize VA Healthcare for prescriptions since a private doctors prescription cant be filled by VA.
