Instead of raising the minimum wage, which comes with problems like companies simply pushing extra costs onto consumers in order to preserve their profit margin, why not simply cap income at a multiple of the lowest paid employee in a corporation. If you were to bring a law about stating that no employee can be paid more than say 25 times the lowest paid employee(including bonuses and company stocks) it would force companies to invest in themselves and their employees if they want to make more money at the top. This would also help jumpstart our economy in that it would get companies moving to expand and put more money in consumer pockets. It would also have little to no effect on small business as you don't generally see that kind of income there to begin with.
