as a paying customer of a satellite provider (DirecTV) I think that they need to continue ensuring that we people have access to proper weather information for our local area. as a resident of a very rural area the weather channel was an important resource for all my weather information. I don't have time every morning to log onto the internet and check weather and I don't own a smart phone, so the Weather channel was our #1 weather source. Directv says it is a effort to lower costs, but they continue raising prices and offer us a very inferior weather type channel that repeats every hour with the same poor info and offers no local area or updates for my personal area.
