With recent events occurring with the shootings of innocent people, some who have lost their lives, I have a proposal. Due to the tragic 9/11 attacks the government gave more power or heavier artillery to prevent future terrorist attacks occurring on our home soil. Because of this, state troopers now have the power to use such weapons whenever danger is present; whether if it’s genuine or false. Many people are supposed to look up to the police not fear them for their fatal machines. I propose a solution which is to demilitarize local police to prevent such fatalities. Having a simple hand gun should do its justice when there is genuine danger presented. I also prose a solution, if weapons cannot be taken away from police, to replace real bullets with rubber bullets so that death is rare.
