Disallow bundling of Home/Car Insurance Policies from being a req for those with disabilities to obtain home insurance

Created by J.H. on November 29, 2012

Insurance Companies such as AllState are denying underwriting of Home insurance policies for people in America with disabilities such as Disabled vets if they don't purchase a home owner policy bundled with an Auto insurance policy.

There are many people who either choose not to drive a car, have no need for a car, cannot drive a car regardless of reason. Whatever the reason a company should not be able to base a reason for not underwriting a home insurance policy on a person’s ability to drive or own a car. No matter if the person is being Green, disabled, elderly, or simply do not need a car because they are able to use public transportation.

I petition that the fair housing or other applicable laws be amended to end this discriminatory practice against U.S. Citizens.
