The United States Congressional body has repeatedly given themselves pay raises without consulting their constituents.
I hereby put forth and propose that we, the people of these United States of America shall be consulted in the form of a public vote to determine whether our individual congressional representatives have performed to a level deserving of an increase in pay.
This shall be done at the district level, on a case-by-case basis for our respective Congressional Representatives and/or Senators.
No Congressional Representative or Senator shall be eligible for a pay raise during their first term in office.
