For many years we have allowed the big ISP's to continue to raise our internet prices, while providing terrible service compared to other countries. The monopolies are holding us back, other countries have far more advanced internet infrastructures. The U.S. on the other hand is using old, slower technology and fail to expand both physically across states, and technologically. But they still charge us extremely high prices. This market is also incredibly expensive to join into, preventing new companies from coming in and charging less. We need to open up this area to a whole new host of companies.
