Disallow the seceding of the states.

I believe these seceding petitions are people overreacting to Obama winning. This was most likely made by quick decisions and they weren't thought through. Give Obama a chance, the country voted for him. I learned about the warring states in China, and how they all became separate from the ruler and the emperor still ruled over a small piece of land and was destroyed soon after. Please don't let this be the United States in the near future. I believe we still have a bright future ahead of us.
