Testing for marijuana metabolites in drug screening is morally wrong. It is no longer a fair or accurate test based on the legality of the substance in other states. Allowing businesses to test for marijuana simply because it's illegal isn't fair and is killing our nations economy. THC can be found in the users system for months after quitting smoking. Based on the consumers metabolism they could show signs of usage months after quitting making it nearly impossible to find a good job. Testing for other illicit substances (opiates, amphetamines, etc) precludes current consumption because they metabolize quickly so it is easy to conclude they had to have used recently. THC does not and can show long after a person has stopped smoking leading to employment difficulties and a stagnant economy.
