Verizon blocks certain applications and products that are free and legal to have, forcing the consumer into using Verizon's own product. This is monopolization and uses corporate power to take away public rights. Verizon has had several issues with this in the past and has been found guilty each time, yet it still continues. In August of 2012 the FCC ruled that Verizon can not force its users to pay them for wireless tethering while blocking free tethering applications. Verizon is now looking for other ways to make profit. One example is the use of the ISIS mobile wallet which allows a consumer to pay for products through their phone. Google made a superior application over a year ago and Verizon refuses to allow any of their customers to use it. How is this allowed?
