The nuclear stockpiles of nations such as the United States, Russia, France, etc., endanger the lives of us all. On multiple occasions nuclear weapons have nearly been used by both the US and the former USSR, with apocalyptic consequences narrowly averted.
We must avert the potential catastrophe of global nuclear holocaust by committing ourselves and the other nuclear powers to full, transparent disarmament of the nuclear arsenals. Only by doing so can the future be saved from the paranoia resulting from this hanging sword, ready to annihilate all humanity at any moment should the proper circumstances arise.
