Public sector unions are one of the driving causes of our descent into mediocrity. For example, teachers unions were allowed to strike in order to ensure they would not be held accountable for students failing to learn in their classrooms. This and many other examples are the reason our nation is crumbling, public sector unions have far to much power and no public servant should be allowed to strike in this fashion.
Therefore I submit that all public sector unions should be disbanded and legislation passed to forever ban them from being created again. Teachers found in dereliction of their duties to educate our youth, for example, will be held accountable and fired.
It works just fine for the private sector, it will work just fine for the public sector.
