Whereas the presidency is not a feudal lordship, and whereas this president is well known for not hearing the voices of whole populations with which he does not agree, and whereas this petition process is in essence identical to a prince hearing petitions from commoners, we the people demand that this arrogant exercise in monarchy be disbanded, and that the president try something new; to actually listen to the people's elected representatives with a full measure of respect and attention that they, as our chosen voices in Washington are rightfully due. Further, the people hereby remind the president that, while he enjoys a great deal of power now, he will not always wield such power, and he should bear in mind that what goes around comes around.
