Many of us have no doubt seen it. We elect our officials on promises of a better tomorrow. They go to Washington and seemingly forget every promise they made. We in turn feel betrayed and public trust in government takes a fatal hit.
Washington fosters an atmosphere of corruption in the form of backroom deals, back scratching favors and vengeful decision making. In the process undermining the very idea of a government for and by the people; and dishonoring the memory of our founders who worked so hard towards a better way.
It is for this reason I propose to disband capitol hill. Let lawmakers "work from home" in their individual districts where they can be accountable to the people for whom they were elected to serve. Please join me fellow Americans in supporting this non-partisan cause.
