The "War on Drugs" has failed. We have learned through the years that prohibition does not work, instead regulation is the best policy when approaching drugs, drug abuse, and drug addiction.
The DEA has failed to curb the flow of drugs into the U.S. instead they have given power to violent organizations in their misguided attempts to save the population from the perceived drug menace. The DEA is an unchecked organization with a seemingly infinite amount of funding to perform a task they are ill equipped to handle, furthermore the moral high ground they believe they occupy is nothing more than an attack on Americans personal freedom.
