The Electoral College leaves too much room for error and discourages voters from all states. By disbanding the Electoral College, it encourages the votes from all political parties across the U.S., not just Republican and Democratic. This will also increase the number of registered voters by allowing citizens' voices to be heard when their vote is not the popular vote in the surrounding area. (Ex: a republican in California or a Democrat in Texas). The Electoral College declares that one state's votes are more important than another state's, giving certain areas of the country the "upper-hand" in the presidential elections.
