It's high time this country's tax system was reformed. The current tax code is unnecessarily long and complex, and less than half of the entire population is paying an income tax. This has to change RIGHT NOW. Fair Tax will eliminate all other taxes except the sales tax, which will increase to 23%. I know this seems like a lot, but there's already a bunch of hidden taxes in the prices of the products you buy already, so it will balance out and prices will stay about the same with the added tax. This is based on taxing on consumption, NOT production, like it is now. The only reason the government has yet to do this is it takes away too much power from them. The IRS has been over reaching for a while now and they need to go away into the history books.
