It is clear that the mechanisms of power once used to protect us are now being turned against us as methods of control. The NSA's surveillance, collection, and storage of our digital lives is unacceptable. Just as this administration adopted and expanded these programs from its predecessor, so must we expect from future administrations. Using a secret body of law to justify secret capabilities that are secretly being used against American citizens, this agency tilts all power to the Executive Branch in absolute offense to the common and customary application of Constitutional protections. The natural evolution of such power is complete dominance over American life. The NSA has become cancerous to our democracy and must therefore be disbanded in the greater interests of our democracy.
