Benjamin Franklin once said: "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty." The Transportation Security Administration's (TSA's) policies for security at airports are a breach of privacy, comfort, and liberty, all in the name of safety, and the TSA has shown signs of abuse of power to law abiding people. The administration has violated the 4th Amendment to our Constitution by engaging in unreasonable search and seizure. However, Israel's system of airport security is extremely effective and does not breach our civil liberties. It is time we looked at Israel's policies and disband the TSA.
