Countries such as China, Argentina, Brazil, Russia, Canada, and others have begun disclosing their information to the public. The United States government should follow suit to be transparent. A complete disclosure is not necessary, but a partial one should be. The American people and the scientific community deserve to know what the United States has been concealing for the last several decades. These files may contain valuable information that can contribute to a scientific revolution. The United States government owes a disclosure to the American people. It will eventually have to disclose the information due to litigation, so it should take the initiative and release the files now.
