Disclose more information on the use of the "StingRay" device by local law enforcement

Created by K.G. on September 04, 2014

The Stingray device is used by law enforcement to mimic a cell phone tower, and capture your cellular device data.
Law Enforcement has access to your phone records, text messages, emails, etc. All of this without a warrant and bypassing the phone company for this information.

When asked, through Public Records Requests, the answer back is generally a heavily omitted purchase agreement or nothing at all, citing a non-disclosure agreement with the product manufacturer.

We, as citizens of this country, deserve more information on the use of this technology, and an answer to why the police need law abiding citizens cell phone data.

We deserve answers, let us force the government to step up and explain why local law enforcement requires this technology to spy on citizens.
