Disclose on what constitutional grounds he is authorized to change immigration laws by excluding classes of people.

Created by R.D. on November 14, 2014

The news is reporting that the President intends to take executive action to allow classes of people to be exempt from immigration laws and possibly to provide a shortcut to citizenship. Further this action is contemplated to occur before the new Congress takes session. As clearly a political move, the people of the United States deserve the right to speak with their Congressmen on such issues.
If this is legal, then the President is authorized. If it is not legal, don't put our Constitution to that test. As a Constitutional lawyer, the President should be able to make this argument clear to the citizens of the Nation.
