As a SS benefit recipient since 2007, I am outraged that 1% is deducted from my SS benefits every month for Medicare. I would like to see this discontinued immediately. We have already paid for Medicare Benefits. Then we are penalized when we go to the doctor, we are forced to pay yet another 20%. Every election we have to sit through the threats by the candidates that we may lose SS and Medicare. I am penalized for not having prescription drug coverage when I do not use prescription drugs. Why do I have to pay for not having health insurance for the last year?
