Discontinue all military/financial (not medical) aid to Egypt because of its persecution of Christian minorities there.

Created by R.S. on January 16, 2013

A 15-year prison sentence was given to a woman and her seven children by an Egyptian court for converting to Christianity. This is a sign of things to come, according to alarmed human rights advocates who say the nation's Islamist government is bad news for Christians under Morsi's new Islamist/Sharia rulership in Egypt.

Opponents of the constitution, including Coptic Christians and secular and liberal groups, protested at the time against passage of the new Islamist led constitution, because of the mix of harsh and cruel Islamic-based Sharia law and politics.

The U.S. State Department must speak out against this kind of persecution. The U.S. provides more than $1 billion in aid to Egypt each year.
