With the state of the economy and the need to create a budget that brings the deficit under control, doing away with the federal government employees transportation subsidy makes sense. If this was discontinued, employees would start initiating van pooling instead of using taxpayers money to fund a transportation program that is unheard of in private industry. The monthly voucher rate was just increased. Why?
