discontinue the issuance of FREE cell phones to low income individuals.

Created by W.G. on January 01, 2013

We Petition the Obama Administration To discontinue the issuance of FREE cell phones to low income individuals. Recommendation; provide a single landline phone service instead which would result in less cost and abuse to tax payers.

In 2008, the Federal Communications Commission began subsidizing cell phones for low-income households.

Ask yourself this question? "Why should a family with 4 adults living together each get their own cell phone when a single landline would suffice." Provide them with an answering machine with multiple mailboxes would allow potential employers to contact them individually.

Individuals who exceed the monthly allotted 250 minutes are on the hook to pay for the additional minutes. Are we helping or hurting those individuals by providing FREE cell phones?
