Presidents' Day was created by combining Lincoln's Birthday and Washington's Birthday. However, it is vague, and frankly, not every president has accomplishments that are worthy of celebration.
Many people work and find it hard to get to the polls on Election Day. The Federal Government should set an example by creating a paid holiday to encourage and make it easier for everyone to vote.
Eliminating the first holiday and replacing it with the second enables this action to have no fiscal consequences.
