Discontinue Pursuit of the "Grand Bargain," which hurts the middle class, & allow the bush tax cuts to expire.

Created by J.S. on November 13, 2012

The Grand Bargain is a Grand Lie. And we need to tell Washington that we will have nothing to do with it. It's not progressive and not in the best interest of the US or her people. There is NO BENEFIT to the Grand Bargain. See for yourself

Here is Obama's proposal for the Grand Bargain last year.

$3 in spending cuts for every $1 tax increase = $3 Billion. Cuts Include:
• $40B Federal Pensions
• $11B Military Retirement
• $20-127B SNAP Benefits (food stamps)
• ETC.
Raise the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to 67
TARGETED REVENUE OVER 10 YEARS = $1TRIL

Here's what would happen if we did NOTHING and allowed this supposed "FIscal Cliff:"

$1.2TRIL sequestration Cuts ($600B Domestic Spending & $600B from Military spending).
Bush Tax Cuts Expire gaining a Targeted Revue over 10 years = $950B
