FERS the Federal Employee Retirement Program for all civis service workers that have had or have to file for Federal Disability benefits. Lost 60% of thier hard earned retirement once they have to apply for Social Security Disability payment in which they are forced to do. By allowing this th happen it is placing our retirees in a poverty situation. One man worked over 20 plus years only qualifies for $80.00 per month when it comes to his/her FERS I doubt if our President or congress much less anyone else can live on this amount. My husband has 25 years in and had to retire due to his disability he earns $127.00 per month becuse it is off set by SSDI. This system needs to be fixed. It only make sense to me if the retirees could get what is actually owed to them.
