We have spent 63 years trying to help achieve peace in Israel, and have yet to make a significant stride.
And the matter, at it's root, certainly appears to be a religious at worst, and obsolete at best. It does not merit the continuing financial support of the american people, and serves no apparent purpose, other than to maintain a presence in a region that becomes less relevant, and more hostile, with every barrel of oil pumped.
It has been said by Osama Bin Laden, and other top terrorists, that our support of Israel is a primary impetus for attacks on the United States. What justification is there to continue supporting Israel in light of that information?
What about supporting Israel is key to the continued safety of America? What justifies this liability?
