Discontinue the use of EDTA in food and drinks.

Created by A.G. on April 25, 2013

Many foods and popular drinks are currently using Calcium Disodium EDTA. It is made from formaldehyde, sodium cyanide, and Ethylenediamine. Side effects include allergic reactions; dangerously low blood sugar, blood pressure, or blood calcium levels; kidney failure and seizures. The calcium disodium EDTA may also result in the body absorbing more ceftriaxone than it should, which reduces the efficacy of the antibiotic in destroying bacteria.

They are putting this in drinks, as well as canned foods. It's used to keep flavor, but this is extremely hazardous to our health and environment.

This is more commonly used in dentist offices, doctor's offices and to improve stability in pharmaceutical products, detergents, shampoos, soaps, agricultural chemical sprays, etc. This needs to change.
