Discontinue the use of the phrase "God bless America" because not all Americans believe in God.

Created by C.J. on February 12, 2013

The politicians of the United States of America should discontinue the use of the phrase "God bless America," as well as any other phrases involving a deity or religious belief. The men and women of our government have been elected by the diverse people of America to participate in the guiding of our strong nation. Their job as elected officials is to lead, reform, innovate, and support and protect the current needs and dreams of the American people. Their job, however, does not include acting as a preacher. This fine nation is comprised of a grand collage of differing ethnicities, ideas, and beliefs. Not everyone in this country holds a belief in God. Others do. As a people, we must remember that what makes us great is our ever developing ability to accept and welcome others.
