In September 2016 the 11th United States Circuit court of appeals has made it absolutely legal for employers to discriminate people with Dreadlocks. Meaning if your employer tells you to cut your hair off and you don't comply they will fire you. This violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which “prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin.” In America we have the freedom of speech and the right to bare arms but can't have our hair in locs. Having dreadlocks is a cultural practice that stems from Africa. Many people in America take part in Rastafrienism a religion that revolves around having locs. By this being completely legal it is a discrimination to All who choose to keep their hair loced for cultural reasons , religious practices, etc.
