January 21 Today marked the fourth anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United.
There is a Movement to overturn that disastrous ruling and preserve our democracy:
In 2013, 5 more states called for an amendment to overturn Citizens United, for a total of 16.
Resolutions are pending in an additional 21 states urging Congress and the President to work to amend the Constitution to prohibit corporations from making unlimited "donations" to influence elections
13 more states are being mobilized to take action including Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.
More than 500 cities, towns and communities have towns and communities have passed amendment resolutions.
