discuss the lack of civil rights in South East and East Asia effectively.

Created by K.T. on August 06, 2014

Many human rights atrocities are all over Asia. Below are examples:

China/Hong Kong: The people of Hong Kong who recently protested (and some still protesting) about their voting rights in Hong Kong have been arrested by police.

Vietnam: After the Vietnamese Presidential visit to the U.S., Obama has already discussed about human rights in Vietnam. However, recent protest suppression in recent months did not prove the government's legitimacy in showing any change.

Thailand: Following the 2013-2014 protests, the Thai government is now ruled by a military junta. The people's rights are suppressed due to the new rule.

Thus, the signatories of this petition and I would like Obama to visit South East and East Asian Nation leaders and discuss the severity of the lack in civil rights.
