H1-B visa's are still used to bring in foreign workers into the united states. They are asked to be raised every single year including during our great recession. Just recently MIcrosoft announced a record layoff and other smaller technology companies announced layoff's earlier this year. For many Americans it is hard enough to get a job, but it becomes harder when these jobs are given away each year by our government. Please address why our government is willing to give away these jobs when they can be given to americans.
