Washington National Cathedral is most known as a "house of God", also called the Cathedral Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. As a Church where sacred rites are carried out on behalf of the nation it should be upholding it's Biblical based faith. It has hosted funerals for numerous presidents and of inaugural prayer services for four of our presidents.
As an active house of worship in the Episcopalian Church, the denomination has developed their own rite that mimics current wedding ceremonies for heterosexual couples and allows bishops to allow same-sex marriage which according the the Word of God and the Episcopal faith is an "abomination" and has set itself aside of the faith it claims while becoming a tool for both government and media affairs.
