By in so doing, watch a natural occurring term limits, as members cannot wait to get back to regular work, as opposed to living off the public treasury, all the while drunk with the power (of the people, given we are a republican form of government, meaning one whose power/authority is derived from We, the People). Then watch rich's influence on buying favorable legislation/unfair access to contracts diminish/lessen.
