Disincentivize Congressional pay so as to discourage one from being a career politician thus minimizing corruption

Created by D.J. on December 31, 2012

Disincentivize the pay and benefits typically bestowed on Congress, both houses, such that (1) their pay is no better than minimum wage, though a budget to operate and execute their office and mandate be proper funded, (2) but more so that their pay is not an incentive, as it is now with the least earning in excess of $171,000 (over $80/hr, if clocking typical weekly hours). By in so doing, watch a natural occurring term limits, as members cannot wait to get back to regular work, as opposed to living off the public treasury, all the while drunk with the power (of the people, given we are a republican form of government, meaning one whose power/authority is derived from We, the People). Then watch rich's influence on buying favorable legislation/unfair access to contracts diminish/lessen.
