Volkswagen's long-running environmental fraud is an outrage, and is unacceptable. There is no way to fix the damage they've done. Lawsuits and settlements, even giant settlements, are not enough. The company must end. It should be dismantled, and its stock voided.
So long as anyone thinks they can make money by gigantic frauds such as this, someone will keep trying it and hoping they won't get caught -- or not until they've made their bundle and left the scene.
Nobody can be allowed to profit from this.
