Most, if not all, of the states petitioning for secession from the United States are not capable of sustaining themselves as independent states. Alabama, as an example, would not have recovered from the tornadoes of April 2011 without federal aid and recovery efforts.
To even entertain the notion that secession from the United States for the reason(s) listed could even begin to resolve any of the insinuated problems is to admit that are no other actions that may be taken to resolve these issues.
