Michelle Obama created regulations that have made school lunches healthier. This may be a good idea for elementary schools and middle schools because they are younger and may be considered not accountable for their actions. This is different for ninth graders and up. They should be able to choose their own lunches. Since this is a regulation and not a law, the schools could drop this regulation and go back to food that the students will actually eat but this will diminish the government money for free lunches. Schools can raise the price of lunches but this will make it harder for students to pay for their lunches. A lot of kids end up throwing away most of their lunches wasting money. This is why I believe we should drop the school lunch regulations Michelle Obama has created.
